Rufus is a Prahran champagne parlour and terrace dedicated to Sir Winston Churchill’s passion for the finer things in life,  i.e. champagne, martinis and cigars. Named after Churchill’s beloved poodles, Rufus celebrates the hospitality and class of a bygone era.

Custom lettering was created by replicating Churchill’s handwriting from his many personal and professional letters. This was used in the logo, menu and signage design to inject his personality into every aspect of the experience. A unique coat of arms was created in homage to Churchill’s dedication to the English monarchy and his love for his poodles and martinis. The intention was to create an instantly recognisable marque that could be used for for print design, in social media, on coasters or for external communications.
